    What’s in API Toolbox #1?

Continuing our API improvements, a number of new features will be released tommorow, June 16th.  These are being released as a package of improvements called API Toolbox #1 and we aim to make new toolboxes on a regular basis.  Here’s what’s in Toolbox #1:

Journal entries – essentially COA ledger cards – can now be extracted.  Filtering options include account as well as date or serial number intervals, allowing for easy continuous synchronisation with external systems.

Supplier entries can now be extracted. Similar to customer entries — made available last month – separate functions are available for retrieving either all entries on a supplier or just open entries.  This will facilitate a lot of integrations with e.g. external scanning-and-booking solutions.

Budget figures are now available, both for reading and writing. Similar to finance entries, this will facilitate integration with e.g. external reporting tools.

The recently-introduced ConnectAsAdministrator method is now available in an additional format allowing the client to be identified via its administrator customer number (as defined when the administrator registers the client in e-conomic), instead of via its e-conomic agreement number.

Example code available for developers has been entirely revamped and now covers a much broader scope of functionality in the API.

Please also read about the new API Forum which has been created as a place for developers who are building integrations to exchange information.
