Using Saas to slash your operating costs
Paul Garside of Symbiotic Projects, and a user of e-conomic, has written a compelling article about reducing operating costs by using SaaS for three of their key business processes. They use e-conomic for accounting and project costing, SimplyHR for human resources, and Xythos for workflow and document management.
He calculates that using e-conomic alone would save them in the region of £100,000 per annum. Without it they would need an expensive infrastructure (servers, software, connectivity, etc.), an IT manager, a full-time bookkeeper and an administrator to manage the timesheets.
