Sometimes an email or call comes in that makes everyone smile here in the office.  We got this recently:

. . . I’m not ashamed to admit that I did my accountancy training on standard mechanical accounting machines, where you had to insert line cards and remember to empty the balance at the end.  

A few years after that I had to come to terms with the early computers first with DOS-based systems then with Windows – I had to learn to exchange just key-use with using mouse and keys! I persevered and of course eventually things became easier.  

So, now I’m happy and very familiar with my system and then it’s pointed out to me that if I were to be knocked down by a bus tomorrow, nobody would be able to instantly take over and run the business.  They were right, I needed to move with the times but I’m older now than I was and the thought of learning something new didn’t exactly fill me with joy. But you can’t fight progress!

Well I can now report that I started at lunchtime yesterday, and within a couple of hours my Account Plan and Creditors had been created. I chose to configure it all, instead of using your standard plans and you’ve made it all so simple and logical – I didn’t need to.  

I am delighted, relieved and thrilled that E-conomic has made something new that is as easy as falling off a log. Now I am going to get started with the actual recording. It simply cannot go wrong. My very, very grateful thanks.
