    new headquarters for e-conomic international

e-conomic international has moved its HQ to the old harbor area in Copenhagen.

Previously, the buildings were owned and used by the company named “Burmeister & Wain”. This company started in 1843 and over the years it became the biggest company in Denmark, building more than 1,000 ships and supplying almost every other shipyard with their famous 2-stroke diesel engine.

On 27 January 1943 (during the German occupation), the shipyard and engine factory was bombed by 6 British low flying aircrafts (Mosquitos) causing damage to the factory and its surroundings. That particular attack and its implications are subject to intense debate amongst Danish WWII historians.

The reason for us moving has been the desire/need to have all staff in Denmark under the same roof, including our colleagues from the varies countries. This is now the case and we will benefit from working more closely together development, online team etc.
