    E-conomic launches in Spain

    E-conomic is very pleased to announce today the establishment of its operation in Spain.

    This growth brings the firm’s international reach to six countries including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the UK and is part of a strategic expansion programme which will see the business established in 12 countries by 2012.

    Does technology cause stress?

    An article in Accountancy Age states: “Just fewer than half of UK finance professionals have reported increased stress levels“.  The article goes on to suggest that technology is to blame, with “teams of people downloading data into spreadsheets, adding rules, and presenting it back to managers in an acceptable form”.

    Free Sage offerI was flicking thru our local paper over breakfast this morning and came across this special offer for free Sage software (at the time of writing, you can also see it here on the newspaper web site).  As a small business owner, I might be attracted by the offer but wary of the hassle of installing software followed by the learning curve and ongoing administration and maintenance costs.
