    U.K ~ Leads The Way

    5 July 2010

A recent Gartner report states that despite growing use of SaaS application in the U.S. it is, in fact the U.K which is global leader in this particular technology.

Despite the disparity in size and although Stateside SaaS adoption numbers are still the largest worldwide, U.K companies have been even more rapid with their take-up of cloud computing.

According to Gartner the cloud computing market is likely to grow by nearly 17 percent globally in 2010, with nearly 30 percent of cloud computing application use coming from U.K. companies seeing the sense in radically reducing costs at the same time as implementing highly capable technology.

With SaaS expected to grow considerably for the rest of this year it’s predicted 95 percent of companies are not only fully committed to maintaining this adoption but also to expanding it substantially.

    3 July 2010

We’re delighted to say we’ve just signed a contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denmark. They will be putting a substantial number of their clients on to E-conomic, during the next few months.

From this point on, PWC will be using E-conomic for all their clients who are not doing their own bookkeeping. We’re very pleased to welcome aboard all these new users and of course look forward to a long and productive association with PWC.

WE’RE DELIGHTED TO MAKE RICHARD MESSIK ‘OFFICIAL’

    21 June 2010

As many of you know, Richard Messik has long been known for his enthusiastic general advocacy of Cloud Computing within the accountancy profession and the specific advantages of E-conomic to increase profitability and enhance client service. We’re therefore delighted that Richard has accepted a role with us and will be heading up our Advisory Board.

Richard took the decision to leave general practice after thirty years, to free up more of his time to facilitate and speak at workshops, seminars and conferences, put into action some innovative training strategies and complete the first of a series of business books.

He has established his own cloud computing consultancy, RFM Associates, to meet the needs of those looking to put business processes online. He will be working with us at E-conomic both in an internal advisory and development capacity and will be consulting with accountancy practices, implementing smooth, swift and seamless online transfers for them.
