Why make handling your projects into a project?

    30 September 2011

Do you already create your orders, book your customer invoices and handle all your different costs, in your agreement, in E-conomic?

And would you also like to be able to register the time your employee spend on a project and assign this to your various employees? Or perhaps let your employees register their own time, and all you need is a system, where you are able to handle this?

Then why not take a look at our Add-on module “Project Accounting”.

With our Add-on module you can easily get an overview of your activities, keep track of your costs and see the actual hours spend on a given project.

You can also create different reports showing you e.g. employee statistics or employee reimbursements or you can see a report on your project entries.

In our E-copedia you can learn much more about the Project Accounting Add-on module, and perhaps you’d like to see a video or two about the subject?

    Have a nice weekend :-) .

From customer to order and invoice

    23 September 2011

In order to send an invoice to your customer, there are a few things you have to do in your agreement, before you are ready to book and send the invoice.

First of all you have to create your customer. Then you also have to create your products. If you have many customers and products, you can actually import both your customers and your productlist – just a few clicks on the mouse and Bob’s your uncle.

When the customer and product information is in place, you are now ready to create your invoice. Simply write the product number, or choose the product number from the productlist, in the invoice line and when your done, you can book or book and e-mail your invoice.

In our E-copedia you can find help articles or videos about creating a customer or creating an invoice or you can read about how you import various information into your agreement.

    Have a wonderful weekend :-) .

    Demystifying the Cloud

    16 September 2011

It’s a bit of a mystery to me, why many accountants are still hesitating to embrace online accounting while most companies just get on with it.

I’m therefore looking forward to joining the Cloud Advocates seminar next Thursday – September 22nd, and get an insight into some of the myths that distort decisions on the benefits of the cloud.

I’m curious to meet well known blogger/ analyst Dennis Howlett live – and to hear the discussions among accountants on, what are actually the pros and cons of online accounting as they see it.

And, then I would obviously love to meet you.
So if you are joining as well, please, let me know at info@e-conomic.co.uk and we can arrange a coffee at a break – or we can simply leave it to chance and bump into each other at the seminar.

Cost price in quotation, order or invoice

    16 September 2011

When you make a new quotation, an order or an invoice, you can see your cost price and sales price when making e.g. your quotation.  Thereby you can get an overall picture of your potential turnover, when entering your quotation lines etc.

You can also see the margin for each quotation line and at the same time, see the accumulated CM, at the bottom of the quotation, order or invoice line.

The cost price you see, is the one you’ve entered in the cost price field, when you created your products – of course you only see a cost price, if you entered one to begin with :-) .

    Terms of payment in E-conomic

    9 September 2011

When you take out an agreement in E-conomic and apply a default setup, a few different terms of payment will be created automatically that can then be applied to your customers or suppliers.

The terms of payment created in the default setup are the most common ones, but if you need to apply other terms of payment you have the ability to create as many as you need.

These terms can span from cash payments to prepayments, and cover any period necessary.

You can find lots of information on how to create new terms of payment in our E-copedia:

    Have a wonderful weekend :-)

New Market Package with enhanced features

    8 September 2011

It is now possible to use links on text and image elements. Simply edit the relevant element in Design & Layout and type the URL you wish to link to. The entire element will now become a link in the PDF. Additionally, users can now edit cost prices directly on quotation/order/invoice lines.

    More on design and layout

    2 September 2011

Perhaps after reading last week’s blog post, you are now an expert in design and layout? ;) I’m sure we can still surprise you however, with our new article about how you can copy your layout to another agreement!

When you take out another agreement in E-conomic, you don’t have to start over again setting up your invoices, adding the logo etc.

You can simply copy your “old” layout from your “old” agreement to the new agreement. All it takes are a few mouse clicks and then you’re ready to start invoicing your customers.
