As cloud computing continues to gain momentum, more and more SME’s are able to outsource their accounting and other administrative tasks using cloud computing.
Vopium outsourcing accounting tasks
The Danish mobile telephony company Vopium is one of these companies. They have recently moved all of their accounting tasks for their operations in Scandinavia to Pakistan by utilizing the E-conomic online accounting system.
Vopium made the decision to replace their C5 desktop accounting system with the E-conomic online accounting solution in order to accomplish this move.
A new opportunity
In the past, this was only an option for larger, global companies, but now with cost-effective and flexible cloud computing solutions like E-conomic, small and medium sized companies can make the decision to outsource administrative tasks as well.

Do you have products listed in your product list that you no longer sell to your customers? Well in E-conomic, you are now able to bar these products and simply keep them hidden in your product list.
If you wish to see your barred products or activate them again, you can simply “show” your barred products again.

Furthermore, if you sell your products in numerous currencies, E-conomic now enables you to import your sales prices in the different currencies you need. This way you can create all your prices in one go!

Today we would like to let you know that from April 1, we will implement new subscription terms here at E-conomic.
This means that from April 1, 2011 our old subscription terms (which you can read here, if you would like to refresh your memory) will no longer be in effect.
Some important changes
There are two changes in particular that we would like you to be aware of:
- You can now cancel your E-conomic subscription at any time before the end of a quarter (previously, you needed to give one months notice of your cancellation.)
- At the same time, we will increase the reminder fee from £5.00 to £7.50.
We hope that none of the changes mentioned above will be relevant to you
Further information
If you would like to learn more about the new terms of subscription, you can read the full new terms of subscription here, or contact us for more information.

We have released a new set of updates and improvements – here are some of the main features.

The newest MP improves VAT calculation, enhances your customer notes and more!
More precise VAT calculation
Invoice VAT is no longer rounded per invoice line, but instead per VAT code. This way, rounding is now performed on the total VAT amounts rather than the VAT amount for each line. This gives more precise results and eliminates discrepancies caused by rounding on each invoice line.
Further improvements in Market Package 29
The new Market Package contains a lot of other updates – including differentiated note icons that provides a better overview, plus option to include underlying invoice PDF’s on reminder PDF’s (and even add a custom watermark), and much more!
Read about all the new features in Market Package 29 on our website.

When you have taken out an agreement with E-conomic, most of the communication between you and E-conomic will be by e-mail.
You will for instance only receive your invoice from E-conomic by e-mail and the communication between you and your customers or creditors can also mostly be by e-mail.
