E-conomic wants to make things easier for you – that’s why we’re sending out a new Market Package with new features to help you in your daily work.

MP 28 has loads of new features to ease your workload!
Additional import features
We’ve introduced a number of new import options designed to make it easier to import data from elsewhere into E-conomic.
The new features allow you to import currency prices, ie. prices in other currencies than your base currency, and import stock adjustments. Additionally, when importing day book entries, you can now import the Due dates.
More improvements
With the new Market Package, you can also select if you want to see barred products in the product register, and you can use merge fields when e-mailing customer ledger cards.
Read about all the new features in Market Package 28 on the homepage.

This month a lot of us will be looking to finalise our accounting year and I know I would not be alone at the frustration of an invoice suddenly appearing after the year has been closed down. By using E-conomic it takes away the pain of late invoices, if you have closed your financial year you can simply re-open at the click of an icon, no need to restore back etc, enter your transaction and close again, all closing and opening balances automatically adjusted, how simple is that !

Just to remind you to change your standard VAT rate in your E-conomic agreement to 20% for services that you make on or after January 4, 2011. VAT at the new rate of 20%.
Details
The change only applies to the standard VAT rate – there are no changes to sales that are zero-rated or reduced-rated for VAT. Similarly, there are no changes to the VAT exemptions. Any sales you make at these rates are unaffected by this change.
In E-conomic
Find out how to create a new VAT code or amend an existing one in your E-conomic agreement.
