Well there’s no beating around the bush – Christmas is rapidly closing in on us
.
Maybe you’d like to send a Christmas card to your customer, but you don’t know how to go about exporting your data from E-conomic?
Thi
s is easily done however! All you need to do is look up the article on “How to export data” to export your customer file (customer.csv) in our E-copedia and send the file to your own e-mail. The next step is to save it on your computer and do the rest from there!
This allows you to merge your customer information with, for instance, a personalized e-mail from you to wish your customers a Merry Christmas.

As I mentioned, earlier in the week, E-conomic was proud to sponsor this year’s award for the Accountancy Age, Medium Sized Firm 2010 and we put together an enthusiastic table to cheer on Richard Messik as he presented one of the accountancy Oscars to: Hallidays of Stockport, Manchester who
‘. . .stood out with their performance over the year. They doubled the number of leads, retained clients, improved cash-flow significantly, grew fees by 5% and increased extra work orders by more than half through the introduction of a client care programme. Net profits rocketed by 40% and turnaround times on work improved by 43%.’
Accountancy Age. Our very hearty congratulations to Hallidays who were well deserving of their win and who we hope today are celebrating their success.

Of course the evening was a chance for several of us to get together to celebrate some successes of our own, with E-conomic’s clients increasing apace. Tracey Dunn and Adrian Barrett from Blue Sky PR who do a sterling job of getting our name out there were in attendance along with our lovely Jacqui Sullivan (she of the soothing voice, known and loved by so many of you) who came up from our Reading office whilst Tejn Vanting Nielsen, Country Manager DK flew in specially for the occasion. We were also delighted to be joined by some of our clients Darren Slater from RSM Tenon, Keith Ward of Cooper Dawn Jerrom, Tony de Jong of Anthony de Jong & Co and last but certainly not least, Paul Smalley of Paper Mountain Solutions.

This week a contingent from E-conomic is going to be pitching up to the champagne reception and delicious dinner in Battersea where Accountancy Age is holding its annual awards presentations – it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!

In fact, E-conomic is delighted this year to be sponsoring the award for the Medium Sized Firm 2010 and Richard Messik, who heads up the E-conomic UK Advisory Board, will be presenting the lucky winners with their spoils. We wish all the contenders good luck and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. Watch this space for the results.

As many of you may be aware, I have just returned from a trip to Kuala Lumpur where E-conomic exhibited at the World Congress of Accountants.
It was fascinating talking to accountants from, amongst others, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Ghana, India, Pakistan and of course Malaysia.
