Many new and current SME’s have realized that online accounting provides benefits both for themselves and their accountant that a regular bookkeeping system just doesn’t do.
Access from anywhere with an internet connection, real-time viewing of accounts together with your accountant, and security that is reliable are all aspects that attract numerous businesses.
PwC, one of the largest international accountancy firms has just released a report with evidence of an increase in online accounting of greater than 40% over the past two years.
The SME’s included in the report were very open-minded towards implementation of new technology and pleased with the idea of saving money at the same time.
More of PwC experiences can be read on our news page.

On the 12th of June, we are entering eight runners into Brolobet – a half marathon across the Oresund Bridge which links Denmark and Sweden. We’ll be supporting the international appeal for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
You can support our Haiti appeal by becoming a fan of E-conomic on facebook or by recommending E-conomic to other companies. For every new fan or every new customer between today and the 12th of June , we will donate the value of one month subscription (£12.99) directly to the appeal
After the run you can follow us on twitter and facebook, where we will be posting up photos and news about the race . SO GO ON…what you have got to lose? At least we’ll be doing the running – all you have to do is click – and we’ll do the rest.
And as every customer can get a free two week trial there is no reason for you not to give us a go – it’s a no brainer!

Another one of those things that sound so much more complicated than they really are. It’s actually short for ‘web-based seminar’! And it’s simply a presentation, lecture, workshop, or seminar to which, in days of yore, you’d have had to travel. However nowadays you can participate from the comfort of home or office.
And it’s just as interactive as if you were in the same room, you can receive, share and discuss information with all the participants as well as the presenter.
Why not register for one of our free E-conomic webinars which typically lasts an hour and takes you through everything you need to know on E-conomic’s basic functions?
Next webinar is on Wednesday the 26th of May 2010 at 11:00 -12:00
The video below shows you how to join:

The recently launched remittance advice functionality allows you to e-mail remittances direct to your suppliers from your E-conomic agreement, notifying them of recent payments you have made.
You can filter on payment dates, suppliers and groups. You can base advices on either invoice-to-payment matches or exported payments.
A new template type called “Remittance advice” has been added in Design & Layout. Simply link this to your suppliers and the advices are e-mailed as PDFs.
The following video shows you how to link the remittance advice to your suppliers and how to use the functionality.
